Do you only plan trips to Africa?

Yes.

Can I buy my own flight or use miles?

Unfortunately, that option is not available for group travel.

Should I get Travel Insurance for my trip ?

Shia Travels requires that all customers purchase travel insurance.  Please click on Resources for travel insurance options.

What happens if Shia Travel Group, LLC cancels a trip that I have booked with them?

We reserve the right to cancel any of our trips using our discretion. In this case, we will issue: a full refund, minus flight expenses; OR credit (equal to the amount already paid) towards our next trip in that same country or to another country within the same calendar year. Should I get vaccinations?

The U.S. government mandates some vaccinations for most of our trips. We will list vaccinations or treatment prevention plans that we require for our travel group. We also encourage participants to speak with their primary care providers about their upcoming trip and visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website for more information. 

Can I opt-out of any of the activities listed on the itinerary?

You will not be forced to participate in any of the activities planned. However, there are no refunds for unused services.

How many bags can I bring?

This is determined by the airlines. However, information will be provided in our detailed information packets which will be emailed to all customers who have made deposits for any of our services.

Will I receive an itinerary?

Yes, Participants will receive a detailed travel information packet, including a full itinerary, suggestions on what to bring on the trip, weather information, etc. upon receipt of deposit.
